But, due to ANet&#8217;s five-person [human key] dungeon requirement, the lack of heroes, and my <a href=\"http:\/\/www.penny-arcade.com\/comic\/2004\/03\/19\">dislike of PUGs<\/a>, I decided to try soloing for dungeon tokens. More specifically, killing a boss in the Ascalonian Catacombs for its <a href=\"http:\/\/wiki.guildwars2.com\/wiki\/Bag_of_Wondrous_Goods\">Bag of Wonderous Goods<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>After watching a couple of Spider Queen solo videos, I attempted a few runs, died a bazillion times, and finally got it going. Here are some of the things that I&#8217;ve learned:<br \/>\n<\/p>\n<ul class=\"list4\">\n<li>Killing mobs as fast as possible is important &#8211; it&#8217;s kill them before they kill you.<\/li>\n<li>Switching to Berserker&#8217;s gear and using consumables that increase power and\/or precision increases kill speed.<\/li>\n<li>Dungeons are oddly laggy. Time skill-usage accordingly.<\/li>\n<li>Traps affect a larger area than their visual appearance.<\/li>\n<li>Flame traps can be run through as soon as you see their first fire animation.<\/li>\n<li>Killing the two low-level Spider Hatchlings in the raised area behind the trident angel statue will spawn the Queen.<\/li>\n<li>Ranged weapons were my best options against the Queen. I just could not stop it from casting wells as seen in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Cxq7Rle_HsA\">another video.<\/a><\/li>\n<li>It seems like a one in five chance to get a &#8220;rare&#8221; (and worthless) drop from the Queen instead of the Bag.<\/li>\n<li>To reset the dungeon, switch to a different character who is parked in the Mists and back.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This was recorded on July 30, 2013 (build 21,480), after the warrior trait nerf.
