Happy Home Showcase: Nintendo Staff SpotPass
[UPDATE 10/07/13] Nintendo has changed updates to every other week.
[UPDATE 12/18/13] Added reorderable DLCs and special non-shop or rare items.
[UPDATE 12/30/13] Nintendo has brought back Reggie from Nirvana.
[UPDATE 01/13/14] Nintendo seems to have stopped updating the HHS.
Every Monday, Nintendo of America updates the Happy Home Showcase (HHS) with a Nintendo employee’s house. More often than not, these homes are filled with unusual furniture sets, event exclusives, and other rare items. This feature was added because of the low chance of meeting a fellow Animal Crossing-er and swapping a StreetPass in America – our HHS was a ghost town previously.

Hello, just want to confirm something–I received a SpotPass house (blue dot prompt) this Tuesday while logged onto a Nintendo Zone site: Annimal from Wooville. Is this a legit house from Nintendo?
22 Nov 2013
We were not 100% sure as to whether Annimal from Wooville is a Nintendo SpotPass as well: there is only one other mention of her on the web, she was not registered before the game’s release, the house has a low 1562 points, and there are no special items that the other official homes have (e.g. the Cool Globe).
However, her home was released on the correct date and to the United States instead of a city or state. Also, the chances of her being in both yours and our HHA through StreetPass is extremely low.
That all said, I think we’ll claim (with a fair bit of certainty) that Annimal is of Nintendo.
Thanks for asking about her and giving us more info, Corinne.

Thanks for the confirmation…I was also having doubts about the house at first because of the exact same reasons you mentioned, but the one thing I was sure of was that it was a SpotPass house (blue dot notification), not a StreetPass house (green dot notification), and SpotPass houses only come from one source, which is Nintendo of America.
Thanks again for keeping the list updated, truly appreciate it!

I also received Annimal’s house, so that’s a little more confirmation. Thanks for maintaining this list, by the way!
