Valve released the Soldier/Demo update about a week ago, adding 35 achievements to both classes, four new Soldier weapons, three new Demo weapons, crafting, two maps, Scout weapon tweaks, and about a bajillion bugs. There were a few server breaking ones but some were just… how did they do this?
And if you’re into idling, here are some tips to consolidate items and reduce the clutter in your backpack:
- With three duplicate weapons OR one weapon from each class slot (primary, secondary, melee), you can craft one Scrap Metal.
- Craft together three Scrap Metals and you get a Reclaimed Metal.
- Craft together three Reclaimed Metals and you get a Refined Metal.
- To craft a random hat, combine three Refined Metals OR two hats.
- A random hat requires a total of 81 weapons.
- To craft a random class hat, combine four Refined Metals plus a Class Token.
- A random class hat requires a total of 112 weapons.
